PROMISE meeting with societal partners

In January, the PROMISE project’s societal partners and research team met online. Following a brief introduction by Tineke Fokkema regarding the overall project progress and schedule, Warsha Jagroep presented the initial findings from the Participatory Learning and Action sessions involving older adults of Chinese origin and those from the former Dutch East Indies. Next, Martha Talma outlined her ideas for adapting the ‘Talking about Loneliness’ training course, which is scheduled for this autumn. Milynn Koene then shared preliminary results from her research into the under-reporting of loneliness among older adults. Finally, Mirjam Kingma offered insights into incorporating social network elements into loneliness interventions for older migrants. Thanks to the large number of societal partners in attendance, the meeting fostered a valuable exchange of ideas and insights bridging research and practice.
