Last summer, Tineke Fokkema, Bianca Suanet, and Mirjam Kingma participated in an international conference in Hannover on behalf of the PROMISE project. Researchers from different countries came together to discuss loneliness among vulnerable groups, including migrants.
The symposium focused on practically addressing stigma and prejudice within these groups, for example by developing targeted interventions. Tineke Fokkema and Bianca Suanet were also panel members during the conference, where they shared insights from PROMISE. The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences. The insights gained contribute to the further development of scientifically supported interventions for migrants.
